Professional Development Events
Throughout the year, the Career Center offers a number of events designed to support students and alumni in all aspects of their career development. In addition to Job Fairs, the list below highlights some of the programs delivered by the Career Center.
Professional Skill-Building Seminars
Skill-building workshops offered throughout the year are designed to provide assistance with writing professional resumes, preparing job search correspondence, effective job search skills, successful interviewing, utilizing social media effectively in the job search, and applying to graduate school. Please see our full Fall 2015 schedule of events.
College to Career (C2C) Series
The C2C Series is offered each fall. Seminars are open to all students, but are designed particularly to prepare juniors and seniors to successfully navigate their internship and job searches, as well as to prepare for their professional lives after graduation. Employer and alumni guest speakers, along with Career Center staff, lead sessions on topics including targeting resumes and cover letters to specific industries, navigating job offers, applying to graduate and professional schools, conducting effective job/internship searches and interviews, and exploring post-graduation options, including working abroad.
Industry Nights and Career Panels
Employer panels and discussions are held throughout the fall and spring semesters to provide students with information and networking opportunities within a variety of industries and companies. These events feature employers and alumni from well-known and emerging companies. Examples of events include: "Careers in Professional Sports", "Best Places to Work", "Sales is More Than a Career Path" and "Biotech Industry Panel".
Meet the Firms
Held in the fall, students have the opportunity to network with employers from leading accounting and finance organizations for internships and full-time positions.
Employer in Residence Program
Starting in 2015, the Career Center will host a monthly program where an employer will spend a day on campus meeting with students to give resume and cover letter feedback, advice on developing a strong LinkedIn profile, interview assistance, and more.
Mingle and Dress for Success
This event is offered each fall and gives students the opportunity to meet successful Endicott alumni while honing their networking skills and building a professional image. Co-sponsored by the Career Center and the Alumni Relations Office, the evening features a networking reception, dinner and discussion of professional etiquette, and a guest speaker.
Alumni Mock Interviews
Endicott Alumni conduct practice interviews with students and provide feedback in order to help students excel in their internship and job interviews. Offered each spring, this event also includes a networking reception.
Information on all of these events can be found on our ECLaunch site as well as on the campus Events Calendar.
