Malden Hospital Connects with Endicott College
In May, 1989 the Malden Hospital decided to divest itself of the long-standing School of Nursing. Dolores Ouellette, the director of the program, was charged with trying to find a "home" for the school. After interviewing a number of colleges in the area, Endicott College was selected and the school and many of its' faculty became part of the infra-structure of Endicott College. Two year grants from Malden Hospital to purchase additional equipment hire faculty and seek accreditation. While the program started as a two year diploma program it quickly earned the status of a four-year baccalaureate degree program. Today the Nursing program is one of our strongest academic and applied programs of study.
