Name of Scholarship: Society for Hospitality and Foodservice Management

Applies to junior and senior hospitality majors

Amount: $2,500.00

Available to students who are dedicated to future careers in corporate foodservice and workplace hospitality

Must be entering junior or senior year

Must have a minimum of 2.75 GPA

Must have perfermed a minimum of 400 hours of foodservice/hospitality related work experience, verified by paycheck stubs

Name of Scholarship: Scholarship America Dream Award

Applies to All Majors

ELIGIBILITY

 

The award is available to students who need help paying for their second year and beyond

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

 

•Be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent resident (holders of a Permanent Resident Card), or individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA).

•Have received a high school diploma or the equivalent from a U.S. school, by September, 2014.

•Have completed or expect to successfully complete a minimum of one full year of postsecondary education by June 2015.

•Plan to enroll in full time undergraduate study at the sophomore year level or higher at an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire 2015-16 academic year.

•Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

•Demonstrate financial need.

 

Applicants who meet the criteria will be able to apply for scholarships through the Dream Award. Scholarship awards are between $5,000 and $15,000 annually, growing by $1,000 each year until graduation. Dream Award scholarships for 2015-16 will include general scholarships; STEM scholarships (for study in science, technology, engineering and math-related majors); and scholarships for Chinese-American students. Financial need will be considered in determining award amounts.

Name of Scholarship: A Place for Mom Senior Care Innovation Schoalrship

Applies to Nursing Majors

Requirements:

This annual scholarship is awarded to five students enrolled in a bachelor's degree or graduate level program in the field of gerontology, long term care administration, social work, medicine, nursing or sociology at an accredited college or university.

Applications must complete a letter of introduction and a 500 work essay on a selected topic.

 Name of Scholarship: Look Twice, Save a Life Scholarship

 Applies to Major:  All Majors

Amount: $1,000

 Requirements:

 How to Enter:

 1. Create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on Looking Twice for Motorcycle Safety. This can be a video, artwork, essay or anything that would engage other students to focus on safe driving.

2. Once you have completed Step 1, please proceed to filling out the application in our contact form below.

 3. Submit a link to your video, artwork, essay or creative element of your choice in the final step of the application form.

 Qualifications

 ◦Current college student or anyone planning on attending college (or another form of higher education) in the upcoming school year.

◦Student must have a valid driver’s license.
