Name of Scholarship: Buick Achievers Scholarship Program

Applies to Major:  Engineering/Technology or select Design and Business related programs of study. 

Amount: 1,000 Buick Achievers Scholarships of $2,000.00

Scholarship recipients are selected based on the following factors:

-          Academic achievement and financial need

-          Participation and leadership in community and school activities, work experience and interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industry

-          Please note special consideration will be given to the following applicants: first generation college, female, minority, military veteran or a dependent of military personnel

Name of Scholarship: Licensed Nurse Scholarship

Applies to Major: Nursing

Amount: $500

Requirements:

At least 18 years of age

A college student pursuing a degree or certification as a nurse at an accredited college

Name of Scholarship: The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applies to Major: All Majors

Amount: $3,000 - $10,000

Requirements:

  • Entering or returning students at an accredited undergraduate institution in the United States
  • United States citizens or resident aliens
  • Permanent residents of New England or Mid Atlantic states: CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT
  • Have a GPA 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Be enrolled in a demanding course of study
  • Demonstrate skilled writing ability
  • Demonstrate a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society both present and future
  • Be involved in a balance of community, school and work activities
  • Pursue goals and aspirations with integrity, resolution,
    self-discipline and judgment

Qualifying applicants will have one or more of the following:

  • Substantial unmet need
  • Heavy student loan burden
  • Special financial circumstances
  • Low EFC (Expected Family Contribution) from the FAFSA Student Aid Report

Name of Scholarship: New England Employee Benefits Council Scholarship Program

Applies to Major: Business Majors/Nursing Majors

Amount: $1,000 to $3,000

Requirements:

In order to be eligible, a student must be a full-time college student (undergraduate or graduate) studying in an accredited academic program leading to a degree; residing either in New England, or enrolled in a college in New England.

The student must demonstrate an interest in a career in the employee benefits field through either course of study or work experience.

The Student must have a minimum college GPA of 3.0.  The student must have completed at least one semester of college as of April 1

Current NEEBC Board members, their spouses and children are not eligible to participate.

Name of Scholarship: A Place for Mom Senior Care Innovation Scholarship

Applies to Nursing Majors

Requirements:

This annual scholarship is awarded to five students enrolled in a bachelor's degree or graduate level program in the field of gerontology, long term care administration, social work, medicine, nursing or sociology at an accredited college or university.

Applications must complete a letter of introduction and a 500 work essay on a selected topic.

 Name of Scholarship: Look Twice, Save a Life Scholarship

 Applies to Major:  All Majors

Amount: $1,000

 Requirements:

 How to Enter:

 1. Create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on Looking Twice for Motorcycle Safety. This can be a video, artwork, essay or anything that would engage other students to focus on safe driving.

2. Once you have completed Step 1, please proceed to filling out the application in our contact form below.

 3. Submit a link to your video, artwork, essay or creative element of your choice in the final step of the application form.

 Qualifications

 ◦Current college student or anyone planning on attending college (or another form of higher education) in the upcoming school year.

◦Student must have a valid driver’s license.
