Name of Scholarship: 2015 Active leader Scholarship

Applies to Major: Marketing, advertising or communication majors

Amount: 1,000.00

All entries must be original, and will be checked for duplication. If an article is discovered to be a copy, we will remove your entry.
Please provide Active Data with your name, email address, phone number and college or university you will be attending or currently attend in the heading of your essay.
Email a formatted article in an attachment to Google Docs or Word documents are preferred.
Or you can post the essay on your own site and submit the URL to To verify that your essay was indeed intended for entry into our scholarship program, please note the Active Calendar scholarship page and URL on your posted article.
You must be currently enrolled in college classes or a high school senior that will be enrolling in 2015.

Name of Scholarship: Gallagher Student Health Careers Scholarship Program

 Major: Nursing Majors

Amount: $5000.00


-Undergraduate Student at an accredited Institution
-Pursuing a Health Related Career
-Beginning the 3rd or 4th year of your 4-year Program
-Volunteer with Community/Campus Service Organization
-Show strong dedication to the Health Care field
-Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
-Demonstrate financial need

Name of Scholarship: The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applies to Major: All Majors

Amount: $3,000 - $10,000



  • Entering or returning students at an accredited undergraduate institution in the United States
  • United States citizens or resident aliens
  • Permanent residents of New England or Mid Atlantic states: CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT
  • Have a GPA 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Be enrolled in a demanding course of study
  • Demonstrate skilled writing ability
  • Demonstrate a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society both present and future
  • Be involved in a balance of community, school and work activities
  • Pursue goals and aspirations with integrity, resolution,
    self-discipline and judgment

Qualifying applicants will have one or more of the following:


  • Substantial unmet need
  • Heavy student loan burden
  • Special financial circumstances
  • Low EFC (Expected Family Contribution) from the FAFSA Student Aid Report

Name of Scholarship: New England Employee Benefits Council Scholarship Program


Applies to Major: Business Majors/Nursing Majors


Amount: $1,000 to $3,000


In order to be eligible, a student must be a full-time college student (undergraduate or graduate) studying in an accredited academic program leading to a degree; residing either in New England, or enrolled in a college in New England.

The student must demonstrate an interest in a career in the employee benefits field through either course of study or work experience.

The Student must have a minimum college GPA of 3.0.  The student must have completed at least one semester of college as of April 1

Current NEEBC Board members, their spouses and children are not eligible to participate.

Name of Scholarship: A Place for Mom Senior Care Innovation Scholarship

Applies to Nursing Majors


This annual scholarship is awarded to five students enrolled in a bachelor's degree or graduate level program in the field of gerontology, long term care administration, social work, medicine, nursing or sociology at an accredited college or university.

Applications must complete a letter of introduction and a 500 work essay on a selected topic.

Name of Scholarship: Look Twice, Save a Life Scholarship

Applies to Major:  All Majors

Amount: $1,000


How to Enter:

1. Create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on Looking Twice for Motorcycle Safety. This can be a video, artwork, essay or anything that would engage other students to focus on safe driving.

2. Once you have completed Step 1, please proceed to filling out the application in our contact form below.

3. Submit a link to your video, artwork, essay or creative element of your choice in the final step of the application form.


◦Current college student or anyone planning on attending college (or another form of higher education) in the upcoming school year.

◦Student must have a valid driver’s license.
