In 1956, The American Council on Education held a conference “Teaching by CLOSED-CURCUIT Television” at the State University of Iowa. The approach was receiving widespread interest and many institutions across the country were introducing this new teaching technology.

A newly built TV studio on the Endicott College campus provided a means to explore Closed Circuit Television.
The College experimented with Closed Circuit Television in 1957.

Televised classes were the beginning step towards the wireless classrooms of today.
