Physical Education - Exercise Science

The concentration in Exercise Science enables students to pursue work in both applied and clinical settings. Basic skills in fitness assessment and exercise prescription are needed for a variety of populations including athletes, individuals with injuries or disabiling conditions, the general adult population and children. As such, the internship progoram in Exercise Science allows Endicott students to pursue field placements in a variety of settings to detemine if an applied or clinical route is most enjoyable.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Exercise Science concentration, graduates will be able to:

1. Communicate effectively in written form within the convections of the Exercise Science discipline.

2. Demonstrate the critical inquiry and analysis skills needed to engage constructively in intellectual discourse within the discipline of Exercise Science.

3. Conduct appropriate health-related physical fitness assessments on diverse populations.

4. Prescribe appropriate exericse prescriptions for diverse populations.
