Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communication

These courses provide an overview of the wide variety of activities that make up the ever-changing and evolving world of online marketing, advertising, and public relations. Students develop critical thinking and writing skills that are necessary to function in the demanding environment of marketing communications. This major gives students a basic understanding of the industry and prepares them to succeed as they complete their series of internships.
 
Curriculum Requirements - Total Credits Required: 125
 
Learning Outcomes 
 Upon completion of the Communication program, graduates will be able to:
  1. Develop a basic understanding of theories and concept in the field of Communication.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the core ethical values underlying best practices in the production of media
  3. Demonstrate they understand the research methods used in the many fields encompassed under the umbrella of Communication.
  4. Articulate the complexity of media’s place in society and culture.
  5. Communicate effectively in written form within the conventions of their major or concentration in the communication discipline.
  6. Demonstrate the critical inquiry and analysis skills needed to engage constructively in intellectual discourse within the Communication discipline.
