Endicott Instructor Awarded Fellowship at Georgetown University

Mariellen Fidrych Mariellen Fidrych, Arts and Sciences part-time instructor in Sociology and Criminal Justice, was recently awarded a fellowship at Georgetown University. The Georgetown University Certificate Program for Public Sector Leaders is designed for judges, directors, managers, academicians and other senior level professionals who want to improve outcomes for crossover youth by improving multi-systems integration and collaboration among public agencies and other partners.  Once participants in the Georgetown Certificate Program have completed the coursework and have their Capstone Project approved, they become members of the Fellows Network. This network of Certificate Program alumni serves as a mutually supportive group of leaders from across systems. Over time, it is expected that this peer mentoring, provided by a growing number of Certificate Program graduates, will assist in the strengthening of the more broadly defined “juvenile justice field” and help to fill the void of professional development and support that currently exists in this field.
