North Shore Chapter of Sigma Xi Lecture and Induction Ceremony at Endicott
Beverly, MA -- The North Shore Chapter of Sigma Xi announces their spring lecture and induction ceremony. The lecture and ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 pm in the Endicott Chapel, Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly. The event is free and open to the public.
Ann Tarrant, a researcher at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, will speak about "Simple" animals in a complicated world - responses of sea anemones to environmental signals and stressors. In addition, 17 new members will be inducted into Sigma Xi.
Sigma Xi is an organization that promotes scientific research. The North Shore Chapter includes representatives from Endicott College, Gordon College, Salem State University and area scientists.
