Graphic Design Concentration

Graphic designers are those who bring order and clarity to the myriad graphic messages that saturate every aspect of daily life. Endicott College students concentrating in graphic design develop a growing body of knowledge and expertise in concepts, composition, layout, typography, and imagery in both contemporary and historical contexts, learning more advanced methods and techniques as the course sequence continues. Students develop their visual and conceptual acuity through conventional print forms as well as animation, video, web and multimedia.

Recent Internships for graphic design concentrators have included:

  • Avid Media


Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the B.F.A. Visual Communications – Concentration in Graphic Design program, the graduate will be able to:

Demonstrate critical inquiry and analysis skills needed to engage constructively in intellectual discourse within design fields.

Demonstrate knowledge of and competency with computer technology as it is used in the creative processes.

Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of drawing.

Demonstrate the relationship of academic studio practices to professional applications.

Demonstrate an understanding of historical context for the visual arts.

Demonstrate college writing proficiencies within the conventions of the discipline.
