The Office of Information Technology undertakes an extraordinarily wide range of activities – from developing flexible and secure network architecture for both our wired and wireless networks to administrative applications and services, web services, helpdesk and gull card services on campus.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality of services to our students, faculty, staff and administration. We are dedicated to serving the needs of the total learning environment at Endicott College. We work together with the Endicott community to accomplish our mission of supporting and advancing the use of existing and new technology in the academic and administrative computing environments of the College. We are committed to preparing our students for the future and providing the technology tools to do this is no small task; this year over 5,000 unique individuals will use a wide variety of technology systems and services offered by Endicott! In addition, Endicott provides complete wireless coverage in all of our residence halls, academic and administrative buildings.
We have a technology team of creative and enthusiastic individuals committed to providing the best service possible to the campus community. We deliver coordinated, consistent and high-quality customer services responsively and professionally. We pride ourselves on the personal attention we provide to resolving problems and meeting campus needs for information, support, and service.
One of the many IT projects scheduled for this summer is to increase the Internet bandwidth that we offer our students, faculty and staff. In August, we are scheduled to increase our bandwidth by 500 percent. This is being done in order to meet the increasing technology demands of our students and our academic community. In the past, Internet traffic on campus was comprised of small file downloads and short, low-grade movie clips that lasted no more than a few minutes. Today, thanks to high performance computers and handheld devices, the trend has moved towards longer, high quality, high definition video streaming. To meet these needs, Endicott is leading the charge by increasing our campus bandwidth in order to provide the best service and experience possible.
The Information Technology team looks forward to welcoming you to Campus and to the Endicott community and helping with your technology needs!
